(SOLD OUT) Identity and Privacy on a Blockchain

  • DCU Innovation Center 695 Atlantic Avenue Boston, MA, 02111 United States (map)

About the Event

Among all of the use cases for blockchain, identity is one of the most intriguing. Recent breaches and corporate misuse of consumer data are driving individuals to demand better protection and personal control of their identity data. Companies also want to reduce fraud and make sure they validate the identities of their customers, patients, and partners better. Panelists from Cambridge Blockchain, Pikcio, Stranger Labs, and Zcash will tackle the issues around privacy and identity on a blockchain, including questions like:

  • What happened to privacy and anonymity online?
  • How does blockchain help or hurt the possibility of individually-controlled (self-sovereign) identity data?
  • Who can we trust to verify blockchain-based identities?
  • What do individuals and companies need to worry about with blockchain identity and privacy?
